MVA at Turkey Hill

At 16:42 hrs Station 71 was alerted to stand by at a vehicle accident with possible injuries in front of Turkey Hill in the 500 Block of Main Street in the Borough. Chief 71 (S. Alderfer) and Battalion 71 (L. Yost) arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one blocking the roadway. Squad 71, Utility 71, QRS 71 and Field 71 all responded within minutes and arrived to assist in securing the two vehicles, containing the fluids and debris on the highway and assisting in traffic control around the scene of the accident. Shortly after tows arrival and removal of the two vehicles, 71 crews were made available by the Chief. Crews operated for about 45 minutes.
