As Raymond (our fire police lieutenant) was cooking the duty crew an amazing hibachi dinner, Engine 71 was on the initial dispatch for a basement fire in Pennsburg Borough.

Engine 71 quickly responded with 5 firefighters and stretched 2 lines into the basement of the affected townhome and extinguished a stubborn and very hot basement fire.

Firefighter Zack Schaffer made his first fire after graduating the fire academy as the lead man on the first line through the door.

Many area departments in addition to Red Hill responded including: Pennsburg, East Greenville, Green Lane, Herford, Quakertown, Milford Township, and Trumbauersville. Upper Perkiomen Ambulance also stood by for support.

All companies worked extremely well together to extinguish the fire and without injuries to the residents and firefighters.
