Temperatures have been documented to reach in excess of 1800 degrees, and firefighters have only seconds to identify the flashover and escape to avoid serious injury or even death.

Two members attended a flashover survival training conducted through the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy using their mobile flashover training simulator.

The training provides the firefighters the opportunity to recognize the warning signs and how to survive the situation before they are caught in the flashover.
